Supporting creative writing

Welcome to Northants Writers’ Ink

Northants Writers’ Ink is a creative writing group based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England. We meet every three weeks on Monday evenings at the Friends’ Meeting House, St John Street, Wellingborough NN8 4LG.

Meetings begin at 7pm and usually finish by 10pm. Refreshments are provided. Your first meeting is free so you can come along and meet group members and find out if you would like to join us. Meeting fees are £3 which can be paid on the night or £45 for the year, representing a saving of £6.

Street parking is available outside the venue or a short walk away in the Jacksons Lane free car park on the opposite side of High Street.

We welcome writers with enthusiasm and commitment. Group meetings are inspiring and challenging. Our aim is to support the development of our members, individually and with our group projects, such as our two anthologies - Tales of the Scorpion and While Glancing out of the Window. We organise an ambitious programme of talks and events as well as two writing competitions each year.

We average about ten members at each meeting, offering a wide range of life and writing experience.

Because the group is open to tackling adult themes, membership is for over 18s only.

The group offers an exciting calendar of events. Go to the Meetings page to see the 2017 calendar.
